Valparaiso

Known by the many inclined elevators which connect downtown with the surrounding hills and its colorful houses, mostly covered with ondulated metal sheets. The colors on the houses are the remainders of the ship paints used in the big shipyard. More recently also worthwhile to visit for the Street art, which spreads on all surfaces. Add to this, that the town is threatened by big wildfires every other year which originate in the close by bush and are pushed towards the wooden buildings of the town by high winds.
